Morag Steven

Morag has worked in the field of SEN/ASN mediation for twelve years since the development of the first pilot project in Scotland. She continues to work closely with local authorities, professional bodies and families across Scotland to raise the profile of ASN mediation. Morag also works as a community/neighbour mediator with East Lothian Community Mediation (accredited by the Scottish Community Mediation Network), and as a conciliator for the Equalities Mediation Service (formerly Disability Conciliation Service). Morag is chair of the trustees at Kindred (formerly Special Needs Information Point) Edinburgh, and a member of the User Advisory Group of the Govan Law Centre Education Law Unit. Currently Morag is working towards a MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the University of Strathclyde Law School.
Carol Hope

Working in the field of family mediation since 1991,Carol has been responsible for a number of initiatives to develop mediation and services for children and young people, including stepfamily mediation, intergenerational mediation, family group mediation and a project working with family mediators and family lawyers.Currently Carol works part time for the Scottish Mediation Network as the Peer Mediation Development Officer. She also works as a freelance trainer with Leap Confronting Conflict and as a conciliator with the Equalities Mediation Service (formerly Disability Conciliation Service). Carol also has experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs on a one-to-one basis to help improve communication and social skills.
Charlie Irvine

Charlie Irvine is a freelance mediator and trainer. A former solicitor, he trained in family mediation in 1992, going on to work as National Service Development Officer and manager of Family Mediation West. His practice now includes local authority and workplace mediation. Charlie has a particular interest in the education of mediators, and has completed an MSc in Conflict Resolution at Birbeck College, University of London. He also chairs the Scottish Mediation Network and the SMN Forum on the Academic Study of Mediation.
Colette Fitzpatrick

Colette Fitzpatrick has been practicing as a mediator since 1995. During this time she has mediated around 500 cases including some large group mediations. She has extensive experience of delivering training in mediation and mediation awareness. Since January 2003 Colette has been registered as a freelance mediator and trainer and works in the fields of community, workplace and ASN mediation. Colette is a member of the Scottish Mediation Network.
Diane Marr

Diane Marr has a first class BSC honours degree in Social Policy and a diploma in Criminology. Diane is a skilled mediator with a proven track record of professional expertise. Diane trained as a community mediator in 1999, has a SVQ Level 4 in Mediation and has been accredited by the Scottish Community Mediation Network. Her career as a mediator spreads across a range of practices: community, inter-relationship, ASN and workplace mediation. Over the years Diane has worked on literally hundreds of cases which involve multiple issues with positive results. In addition to practicing as a mediator, Diane delivers basic and advanced mediation skills training and supports and supervises other mediators..
Lesley Fairley

Lesley Fairley has been working in the field of Mediation since 1995. During this period, Lesley has worked extensively as a Practioner, Trainer and Facilitator in a wide range of settings and for various organisations; Community, Neighbour, Homeless, Workplace, Peer/Schools, Voluntary and Private Sector, ASN and for local authorities throughout Scotland. Lesley has a Level 4 SVQ in Mediation, a wealth of experience and skills which have contributed to managing, resolving, reflecting and learning about conflict and the impact it has on people and their daily life.
